About Kristin (Kiki) Hjeltnes

Greetings! My goal with every client is to create a style that is low maintenance and works for everyday life. Not just on the day of your cut but for the days/weeks after. I consider myself a hair artist as opposed to a stylist.

Clients might show me a picture of what they want their hair to look like and then we discuss how they can achieve that look for themselves. It isn’t always what I can do in the chair, but what they can smile about at home that matters.

I started my trade as an assistant in New York City and know well what it’s like to hustle and bustle all day long for someone else. When I started working for myself, I relaxed into my art, spending more time with clients listening and perfecting what I love to do.

I really enjoy razor cutting as a technique which was developed after taking a few courses with Bumble and Bumble (NYC). It’s a fun, creative, and unique process that speaks to me. I’ve also spent a month at The Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles deep diving into precision cutting and coloring techniques.

When I’m not at the salon, my partner and I juggle a household with four active kiddos. I’m an avid triathlete, so you might see me running, biking or swimming in the area and up on the ridge.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!
